Understanding people is necessary for doing anything with them. Making people listeners is necessary when it comes to invitation to something. They need to listen when you call them either talking about business or anything else, then we can expect it's fruits. People who don't listen to you , you should not waste your energy in talking to them as they are not showing intrest in you. So it needs some skill in bringing people to the track where they not only listen but also care you.
When you love, people not only pay attention but also care
My friends, be with people and say what you like to hear, do help to others as you think of yourself. Never miss any small opportunity as it also has worthful consequences. When you invest in others as much as you can, you will definitely see the fruits will come into your way at unexpected occasions.
Imagine for a moment that you have not eaten since morning and I met you and said oh brother How are you? Why are you feeling sluggish? Have you had a breakfast?
You said : No ! I hadn't!
I said : Let's have a meal!
...just think it as real.
Now you could have imagined how words are powerful and can be used as a tool to bring people near you and enjoy the beauty of love.
When you give value to somebody, there's the probability in return. When we don't value to others, how can we expect anything in return.
I yet remember my early rude behaviour when people loved me but I didn't pay any attention which resulted in the breakage of bounds with them and spoilt my life.
But now I understood them, their feelings, their needs, which really helps me in every sense.
I remember one moral story of a parent and a son. Parents were always hating him. But from the day he started serving them in different ways, they love him and care and understand his pain.

Everything needs investment & love too needs it, sometimes your good attitude will get a silly attitude in return - And you need to bear that
